Lucy was born as a feral cat, the owner of her mother did not realise their cat was pregnant, she had 2 kittens but the owner took the mother and her 2 kittens to the Cats Protection.
I was lucky to have found Lucy,
Lucy was extremely nervous due to being a feral cat, when i brought her home she wouldnt come to me, she would only walk around the edge of the living room,crying a pitiful cry, she wouldnt come into the middle of the room.
Lucy would never walk on the floor, even outside she walked along the top of the fences or on the tops of roofs, it took a long time for me to get Lucy to trust me.I could never show her my hands as it frightened her,but i used to put them behind my back and she would nuzzle my face, eventually she came round and i could stroke her.She hated any sudden movement.
Over the years Lucy began to trust me, she let me stroke her and became a very loving little cat.
Lucy grew into a lovely cat, we had a great time together, it was lovely to see the turn around with Lucy how she trusted me and how much she came to love me,and i adored her.
Lucy was a big part of my life, i was devastated when she became poorly and ended up with heart failure which resulted in Lucy having to be put to sleep at fifteen and a half years old.
I still miss Lucy so much, i will never forget her she was such a special cat to me,although i love Sophie who was Lucy's companion.xxx
